Repeated dynamics with partners, family, or colleagues often have roots worth exploring. Understanding the pattern is the first step.
Relationship
Patterns
Trauma-informed work creates safety for exploration of past experiences that shape how we feel in the present, at your pace
Trauma
& Difficult History
Anxiety
& Overwhelm
Career change, relationship shifts, loss, relocation, identity or lifestyle transitions that ask more of you than you expected.
Racing thoughts, chronic worry, physical tension. Therapy helps you understand your responses and what you can do about it
Major
Life Changes

Grief includes the end of relationships, the loss of who you thought you'd become, and the quiet grief of unfulfilled hopes. All of it is welcome here.
Grief
& Loss
You are not a problem to be solved. You are a person with a history, and an inner life that makes sense when we take the time to understand it.

What Brings People Here
What I Offer

There is no wrong time to invest in your Mental Health
This is something nobody tells you
about therapy.
You don’t have to be falling apart to benefit from it.
Often the people who get the most out of it are often the ones who come in before the crisis — building the emotional resilience, self-awareness, and relational skills that mean they're not starting from zero when life gets hard (and it may).
WHAT CLIENTS SAY
KW
It was really great working with you and I really appreciate our time together. I want to thank you so much for your support and tell you that I am very grateful.
GN
I just wanted to say how grateful I am for your support. You are a very skilled counsellor and I will continue to use strategies, look over notes and move forward in my life even more fully due to what I've discovered and worked through with you
GP
Thank you so much, Colleen. All your help has been greatly appreciated
I work within a broad scope - from everyday stress and life transitions to grief, trauma, and deeper psychotherapeutic exploration. My practice is unhurried and grounded in genuine regard for the people I work with.
I work integratively, which means I don't bring a fixed approach to every person. I bring curiosity, a well-stocked toolkit, and a genuine belief that you are not broken - you are responding, often very logically, to a life that has asked a great deal of you.
My practice is informed by the latest neuroscience, which shapes how I understand and work with the nervous system, emotional regulation, and the body’s role in mental health.
Neuropsychotherapy tells us about how the brain holds experience, how the body stores stress, and why some patterns are so persistent – not because of weakness, but because of how we’re wired. Understanding this can be genuinely releasing. This approach reflects the emerging integration of brain science and psychotherapy that I believe is transforming how we understand and treat mental health.
I work with individuals and couples who are ready to have an honest conversation - about their mental, emotional, and relational wellbeing, whether you're navigating a specific challenge or simply want to show up more fully in your life.
I believe Preventive Mental Health is an important evolution
in the way we think about and approach mental health.
A lot of the work we do together is preventive - clearing the mental and emotional clutter, building self-awareness around thoughts and behaviours, and strengthening your inner resources so that when life gets hard, and it will, you're not starting from scratch.
This is the emerging understanding of mental health - less about treating illness, more about building capacity. The inner equivalent of looking after your physical health before something goes wrong.
That said, this practice holds both - the everyday work of building inner strength, and the deeper work
of healing what needs to heal.
If any of this resonates, I'd be glad to hear from you
